Concert Tribute to Dame Joan Sutherland
Zoe Vandermeer is a recipient of the Dame Joan Sutherland Fund, awarded by the American Australian Association, www.americanaustralian.org.
In this special concert tribute to Dame Joan Sutherland, Ms. Vandermeer, soprano, is accompanied by pianist Daniel Beckwith in a program of arias from Handel's Alcina, I masnadieri, by Verdi, Esclarmonde, by Massenet and others. Ms. Vandermeer will also accompany her singing on celtic harp in a selected group of 19th century songs.
Guest speakers include Marc Verzatt, former soloist with the Metropolitan Opera ballet, and stage director at Yale and Bard.
The concert will be followed by a reception.
