If you are in the mood for a purely American musical art form, Barbershop harmony is a style of music created with nothing but human voices coming together to create rich and satisfying vocal textures. The beautifully synchronized sounds are pleasing to the ears and invigorating to the soul.
Come enjoy "Singing to the Max". The show will feature a fun filled evening with a wide variety of musical styles including Barbershop, Vocal Jazz, Blues, and Gospel. Featuring special guests Max Q, the 2007 International quartet champions, our combined singing groups will be singing songs like you've never heard them before (unless you came to last years show). Don't miss the Saltaires Chorus Annual Spring Show on Saturday, May 19, 2012.
Hosting two shows at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., following the evening show will be an Afterglow at 9:30 p.m. (a cast party following the show with some planned and some spontaneous singing of barbershop harmony music. Truly a fun event).
Enjoy an entertaining atmosphere with the Saltaires Chorus and MaxQ filling a hall with some the world's most harmonic melodies.
