Kamal Aljafaris strikingly beautiful film meditates quietly on unfinished houses, walls, and the weight of history in Palestine. After the Last Sky Alia Arasoughly / Palestine / Documentary / 2006 Arasoughly explores the shifting identity of the village of Kfir Bir'im, whose Palestinian inhabitants were displaced by Israelis of the Holocaust generation. A complex dialogue about possession and dispossession plays out through generations of residents in the ongoing search for possible cohabitation.
