(Berkeley, CA) Power Trip/Theatrically Berkeley an acclaimed film by Emio Tomeoni with a live musical interpretation by Street Eaters. Proceeds will benefit the Berkeley High School Students Activities program .
Where the Wizard of Oz meets Greenpeace. Three years of immersion into distilled Berkeley at its purist. With a rag tag cast of present day messiahs, Power Trip brings you to the edge and then pushes you down the rabbit hole of good intentions, and is constantly hijacked by the loudest and most theatrical. From stopping the wars to keeping BP out of Berkeley, from a recycling revolutionary to racial and social justice, this film literally travels from the hand-scraping depths of the trashcan, to the life or death conflict living at the tops of the oaks.. With all this ambition and history of action, the question isn't how much progress can be made.. but can anything actually get done.
