Maria Antonia, in 1950's Havana, leaves prison after serving time for drugs and sets out to reclaim the heart of her lover, a young boxer and local hero. As the boxer progresses in his career, he gets money and women. Maria Antonia tries everything to keep him as her tortured soul sinks deeper and deeper.
