Narayan & Janet in Concert
The music of Narayan & Janet is lifting and transforming energy in concert venues and private gatherings throughout the region. Ever-growing numbers of people want music to reflect their positive outlook and enhance a sense of community - the songs Narayan & Janet write accomplish this in a fun-filled way.
A delicious blend of jazz, R&B, world music, Beatles and Sanskrit mantra their performance features wonderfully blended vocals, Janet's soulful keyboard and Narayan's jazzy muted trumpet and flugelhorn.
Narayan & Janet's powerfully uplifting concert includes music from their CD "ALL BLISS" which has received radio airplay across the nation on over 150 stations!
The duos modern musical sensibilities are gained from a lifetime of diverse musical experiences. Janet Baltzos' (formerly Janet Foos) career began with playing in the bands of Albert Collins, James Cotton and Merrilee Rush, and culminated in such achievements as her award-winning NY Film Festival and MTV videos, hosting two television series, a solo act at the Edgewater Inn, and a period touring and recording with New Age artists Dave Lanz and Paul Speer. Narayan's background includes years of international touring as a featured trumpet soloist. He has been showcased in big bands, musical revues, R&B and world-music acts. He also took time to study music and yoga in India. These diverse experiences allow the duo to thrive in a wide range of musical environments, such as backing up the Spencer Davis All-Star band (with Alan White (Yes) and Roger Fischer (Heart))- their delightful intimate house concerts - performing at corporate conferences and hosting their own radio show, Living Music Radio on KKNW 1150 am.
