New Year's Eve Dance with Los Pochos
Dance into 2012 with Los Pochos as they light up the city on New Year's Eve. Partying to Los Pochos' accordion-driven music has been described as "just about the most fun you can have w/ your clothes on" and is quickly becoming a living tradition for conjunto music lovers across Southern California.
Kicking off a celebration of 15 years of musical performances, Los Pochos will lay down a foot-stompin' polka, dive into a whimsical Cumbia and then finesse a romantic Bolero. Whether singing in English or in Spanish, their music transcends language. By the end of the night, you may feel like you've somehow traveled the border from Texas to California in a matter of hours, without having left the dance floor. ¡Ajua!
Each attendee will have a chance to take home prizes and join together for a champagne "count-down" toast at midnight. You are welcome to bring your own food. Light snacks will be offered and parking is free. Drinks can be purchased there. VFW Post-1944 is located 1 block north of the 60 Freeway, between Hacienda Blvd. & Azusa Ave.
Hot tips recap: * Get there early for best parking and seating (groups of six or more receive automatic reserved seating) * Bring your own dinner, if you like. (No dinner will be served) * Bar open all night * General admission tickets are $40.
