Cajun Benefit Dinner
On Sunday April 17th, join Ten Rivers Food Web, Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC), Calapooia Brewing Company, and dozens of local farms, for an evening of Cajun food and music  all for a great cause! The dinner will be at Linn-Benton Community College (6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany), and dinner is from 4-6:3pm.

Featuring some of the area's best chefs  Jason Devrouax, of Clemenza's in Albany, John Jarschke, of LBCC Culinary Arts, and 2011 Best Chef Northwest James Beard Award nominee Matt Bennett of Sybaris in Albany  the buffet dinner will include gumbos, jambalaya, étouffée, beignets, dirty rice, collard greens, assorted Cajun sausages, vegetarian options and more Cajun delicacies. A generous offering from Calapooia Brewing Co. means beer is included at no extra cost!  And to really bring the swamp to Albany, Kelly Thibodeaux and Acoustic Etouffee will provide genuine fiddle music straight from Baton Rouge.

Proceeds from the dinner will support the new That's My Farmer SNAP Incentive Program.  A partnership between Ten Rivers Food Web and farmers' markets in Linn, Benton, and Lincoln counties, That's My Farmer will stretch federal food aid for low-income families when they use their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to purchase fresh, healthy foods at farmers' markets. The incentive program will provide a $6 bonus to SNAP participants who spend at least $6 at participating farmers' markets. This program will improve access to local foods for SNAP users, support area farmers and farmers' markets, and strengthen our community.

Tickets will be $39 if purchased before Sunday (ticket sales end at 11:59pm Saturday April 16th) and there will only be a limited number of tickets available at the door for $45.  As this is a charitable fundraiser, a significant portion of your ticket will be eligible for tax deduction.  If interested in reserving a table, contact Spencer at 541-602-7279.
