H2~Eau
Our fifth full evening work, H2Eau, was inspired by the National Geographic exhibit at the Annenberg Space for Photography.  Artistic Director and Choreographer, Paula Present was struck by the images:  "I saw alien images of people without water, fighting for water, and searching long hours for it. All I had to do was turn on a faucet. Our bodies are 78% water, thus manifesting beautiful images for dance.  Think of all the things you use water for. Without water, there is no life. Water awareness is not only a conservational issue; it's a humanitarian issue."   But don't worry folks, this is NOT one of those preachy dance shows!  Set in a night club, dances will be performed in different spaces, captivating images on film, live music and 3D Sonic Experience, and guest speakers.

Performances by:  Molly Brictson, Kelly Gil, Briana Masson, Jackie Nii, Robyn O'Dell, Sarandon Cassidy Vincent, Eva Wieland

Speakers, who will alternate evenings, include Gil Garcetti, former Los Angeles District Attorney come art photographer, on his stunning book "Water is Key" and  Barbara Goldberg from Wells Bring Hope wellsbringhope.org.  

Music performed live by Ariel Blumenthal, and 3D sound through his innovative Sonic Brand Experience.

"H2~Eau" continues what is becoming a PTERO tradition of performing work that transcends aimless aesthetics to embrace subject matter with compelling immediacy.
