My So Called Enemy - Film Screening
"My So Called Enemy" is a timely and timeless film about the human consequences of all conflicts as seen through the eyes of six young women who are thoughtful, intelligent and articulate beyond their years. It is about multi-faith and multi-cultural understanding and the important role of women in building of peaceful communities. While "My So Called Enemy" speaks to the humanity and complexities of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict in every frame, it is also a coming of age story that transcends the conflict. It's about the power of individual narratives to open hearts and minds, challenge long-held pre-conceptions, and create the space for dialogue, with the goal of creating more just societies here and abroad.

After his tragic death, his passionate quest inspired his classmates and teachers to seek a way for his aspirations to live on. To help make his dream a reality, CAS, through the Berkeley Public Education Foundation, and in partnership with the nonprofit organization Seeking Common Ground, will establish an ongoing leadership development program at Berkeley High and will sponsor a trip to the Middle East.
