Halden Wofford and the The Hi-Beams
Halden Wofford and the Hi-Beams' classic style of honky tonk has a language and culture all to itself, but only takes one quick lesson to learn how to love for a lifetime. The twang of the steel guitar, snap of the snare drum, thump of the stand-up bass and rippin' electric guitar solos mix with Wofford's distinctive vocals to create a sound that is familiar yet purely original. Ringing out all along the Front Range of Colorado and beyond, Wofford's wavering tenor conjures up images of Hank Williams Sr., Buddy Holly and Bob Wills.
One of Colorado's most popular and enduring acts, the Hi*Beams celebrate ten years together in 2010. Rootsy but not revivalist, the Hi*Beams' rollicking stage act features rocked-up Texas honky tonk and western swing, equal parts original and classic.
Whether appearing on A Prairie Home Companion, at regional festivals and concerts, or at funky clubs from New Mexico to Montana and all points in between, the Hi*Beams are always high-energy, danceable and entertaining.
Seating is cabaret style (table and chairs). About six chairs per table.
Events will typically have a two-tied ticketing scheme: Reserved Seating and General Admission.
This higher priced ticket guarantees a seat in the rows closer to the stage. Additionally, the seat is held (reserved) until the ticket holder arrives. As orders are placed, we manually assign best available seating on a first come, first saved basis. Adjusting for singles, couples, larger parties as necessary. About six people can sit comfortably at a table. Specific table or area seating requests will be considered and accommodated as best as possible. For better service, requests such as this should be relayed to us well in advance of the show. Please write us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
These tickets sell for a few dollars less than Reserved Seating. Seating in this section is on a first come, first served basis when the doors open one hour before the show starts. General Admission ticket holders may occupy any available seat in their section.
