Dub/Dance pioneers ZION TRAIN have been undisputed leaders in the genre for more than two decades. One of the finest live dub acts in the world, ZT are pioneers in the practice of dynamic onstage dub mixing, which the band performs alongside acoustic instruments and the best live vocalists. One of the finest purveyors of roots reggae music, ZT has also been heavily involved in alternative and DIY underground culture since the '90s. ZT was founded in 1990 by Dub master/electronics controller NEIL PERCH who is also the owner and administrator of the Universal Egg and Deep Root record labels, the Abassi Hi Power sound system, and the ZT studio in Koln, Germany. Neil's extensive songwriting, production and remix credits include Gentleman, UB40, Luciano, Beenie Man, Earl 16, Jack Radics, Gregory Isaacs, Alton Ellis, Markus Stockhausen, Robert Miles, Patrice, Cashma Hoody, Prince Allah, Chumbawamba, Rootsman, Afro-Celt Sound System, Dub Syndicate, Junior Reid, The Ruts DC, Muslimgause, The Tassilli Players and The Power Steppers. He has also contributed songs to various soundtracks, including Venice Film Festival winner, Antonio Boccola's film 'Fame Chimica.' Along with a mammoth recorded output and innumerable production credits, remixes and songwriting collaborations, ZT has produced magazines, CD-ROMs, Internet sites and built sound systems. The band's early releases were on its own Universal Egg label, until 1995 when it band signed to China Records. ZT released the world's first promotional dub music video for the 'Get Ready' single and caused a furor with the publicity campaign for its 'Homegrown Fantasy' album. Back on its own Universal Egg label since 1999, ZT has continued to release quality dub, electronica and world dance music. In 2007, the band released its long awaited ninth album, Live as One which was awarded a Jamaican Reggae Grammy for 'Best Dub Album.' Incredibly well-received, the album featured vocals from Earl 16, Tippa Irie, Dubdadda, YT, Marlene Johnson, Raiz and Lua, and was followed two years later by the Live as One Remixed album, which involved producers from Poland, Crete, Brazil, Mexico, Croatia, France, Italy and the U.K. ZT's next album, State of Mind is due for release in September 2011. A preview single, just released, is "Rainbow Children," an update of the Aswad classic featuring Brinsley Forde and Dubdadda on vocals. www.myspace.com/ziontrainindub and www.wobblyweb.com/zt/

Music has been a part of Toby Petter Herskind Sorensen a.k.a. ROCKER T's life from an early age. As a child, he was taught to sing in a Lutheran choir in Brooklyn, New York, as well as play piano and classic guitar. In his teens, he played in various bands including a punk band, which evolved into a ska-reggae trio named the Ska-Danks. By 1989 Ska-Danks has mutated into an underground dancehall-reggae-hip hop phenomenon, boasting guests like Jamalski, Sugar Minott, and Shaggy. Around 1988, ROCKER T began toasting for the Brooklyn-based Eruption Hi-Power and TNT Boys & Girls as well as the Manhattan-based BBC2 HiFi, which opened for the likes of Cypress Hill, Lee Scratch Perry, Burning Spear and Super Cat. At the same time he formed Jah Warrior Shelter Hi-Fidelity Sound System, fronting the sound as both a selecter and an MC. In 1991 Skadanks released Whole World African (produced by KRS One in) on Edutainer/Elektra records, followed by the self-produced Give Thanks three years later. In 1995 ROCKER T headed to the West Coast and joined the Roots-Meditation outfit, Jah Levi and the Higher Reasoning. Traveling to Jamaica, he opened for Jr. Cat, Capleton, and spearhead, and fronted the Cannabis Cup Band, backing and singing with Rita Marley for Bob Marley's induction into the Cup Hall of Fame. Since 1997 ROCKER T has played and recorded on both Coasts with a variety of outfits, including ska outfit King Django of the Stubborn All-Stars and Agent Jay of Crazy Baldhead, and San Francisco-based producer Steffen Franz of Positive Sound Massive (PSM),. That year he released four tunes on PSM: Tru Freedom Fighters and War Pan Pause (both featuring his old partner Jamalski) as well as Jah Everlasting and the original Tru Ganjaman. In 1998 King Django's Stubborn Records released Nicer By The Hour, and PSM released the Tru Ganjaman Remix and If Yu Luv Luv, Show Ya Luv. These three records are pure Rocker-T classics among his many fans. Since then ROCKER T has also worked with Glenroy "Capo" Adams of the Upsetters who released ROCKER T's A New Revelation, and Bay Area painter/producer Owen Maigret, whose Conquering Lion Soundz released his only to-date recorded-in-Amsterdam production, "Sensi In The Club." Since 2000, he has also released two more albums, PSM's More Luv in 2002 and Hold On Strong in 2004 on Zionway Recordings. ROCKER T's latest projects include producing tracks featuring Cutty Ranks, KRS One, Shinehead and Joan Baez. http://rocker-t.com
