Mining indie rock, country, and the worst of basic cable, The Longwalls make American pop music. Featuring ex-Gatsby heroes Alan Wuorinen and Brandon Comstock with Dan London (frmr. Nag Champa) and DQ mastermind Kurt Von Stetten on drums, The Longwalls stalk a line from classic indie rock to big-twang Americanawith heady stops along the way.
As their name may indicate, The Queen Killing Kings is an unusual act. Eschewing the classic rock line-up, they feature two keyboardists and no guitars. Their lyrics are filled with references to demons, witches, and condemned killers, yet they're hardly gloom-filled Goths; instead, their music is inviting and catchy.
