The Runaways Advance Screening and Q & A!
See "The Runaways" before it hits theaters, and donate to a great cause! Cherie Currie, the lead singer for the Runaways (played by Dakota Fanning in the film) will be present for a Q & A afterwards.
All proceeds from this event benefit Rock n' Roll Camp for Girls Los Angeles, an exciting new non-profit organization dedicated to empowering girls through music education. A special thank you to Apparition Films and Cherie Currie for making this screening event possible.
Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning star in this music-fueled story of the ground-breaking, all girl, teenage rock band of the 1970s: The Runaways. The film follows two friends, Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, as they rise from rebellious Southern California kids to rock stars of the now legendary group that paved the way for future generations of girl bands. Rated R. Under 17 requires accompanying by a parent or adult guardian.
