The Flesh Hungry Dog Show--The Return to Glamor
On Friday, April 2nd, 2010, The Flesh Hungry Dog Show gaily celebrates FIVE YEARS of fulfilling its mission to spread the gospel of live rock and roll, burlesque, and general musical mayhem for queers and friends in Chicago.
The Flesh Hungry Dog Show is a raucous celebration of alternative creativity, featuring the most fascinating local and touring queer and queer-friendly rock bands, burlesque, and underground performance. Hosted and created by Chicago rock scene groovester Gary Airedale, the show also features the outrageous Bag of Fun prize giveaways, rare vintage film, and the eclectic sound stylings of DJ Sky.
The Flesh Hungry Dog Show starts at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 2rd, 2009 at Jackhammer (773-743-5772), 6406 N. Clark St. in Chicago. Featured performers include The Joans (whose video for Mad at The Dirt recently made the top 10 on LOGO network's Click List), Bobby Conn + Burglars (fresh on the heels of the release of the release of their critically acclaimed new CD "King for a Day" and the newly reincarnated, legendary, futuristic, electro glamsters Brilliant Pebbles.
