Nina Storey

West Side Theatre
Newman, CA

Nina Storey's raw, intimate, and explosive voice, along with her catchy melodic lyrics, has had her opening for Etta James, Earth Wind and Fire, Joan Osborne, and John Lee Hooker. She has performed at the Lillith Fair, Woodstock 99, Montreal Jazz Festival, and the Monterey Blues Festival. People Magazine wrote: "With a voice like hers pyrotechnics is redundant."

Nina's new Album, "So Many Ways From: Me To: You" is as she describes it, "21st Century Soul" - mashing old-school soul with an indie singer/songwriter edge. She has been featured in both film and television including Sony Pictures, "Broken Hearts Club" two Fox Hit Series, âSo You Think You Can Dance, and "Standoff", ABC's "Alias", WB's "Girlfriends", and The Travel Channel, as well as composing the theme song for the independent film, "Foreign Soil."

"Formal training and theory aside, songwriting is at heart a mysterious process thatâs probably driven by as many different creative impulses as there are composers. In the case of Nina Storey, the desire to write songs was a natural outgrowth of her extraordinary gifts as a vocalist." -Performing Songwriter

Note: Seating is cabaret style (table and chairs). About six chairs per table. Events will typically have a two-tied ticketing scheme: Reserved Seating and General Admission. RESERVED SEATING This higher priced ticket guarantees a seat in the rows closer to the stage. Additionally, the seat is held (reserved) until the ticket holder arrives. As orders are placed, we manually assign best available seating on a first come, first saved basis. Adjusting for singles, couples, larger parties as necessary. About six people can sit comfortably at a table. Specific table or area seating requests will be considered and accommodated as best as possible. For better service, requests such as this should be relayed to us well in advance of the show. Please write us at seating@westsidetheatre.org. GENERAL ADMISSION These tickets sell for a few dollars less than Reserved Seating. Seating in this section is on a first come, first served basis when the doors open one hour before the show starts. General Admission ticket holders may occupy any available seat in their section.
