Brian McCarthy: Frost (Flowering)
A program dedicated to the dialectics of flowering and frost. Taking cues from Thomas Bernhard's 1963 novel, and from Larry Gottheim's Tree of Knowledge, the discourse of flowering - intrinsic to surreal and psychedelic imaginary - will be examined through the light of the above texts. The image of the flower rising in the midst of hoarfrost.
