
At the third annual Kennebec Early Music Festival (August 11-18) enjoy musicians of national and international renown from Seattle, Boston, and Bath performing the music of J. S. and C.P.E. Bach, Vivaldi, Rameau, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert on historic instruments, including Baroque recorders, an 18th-century clarinet and basset horn, a 1772 Klotz "Mozart" violin and a 1784 violoncello, and fine replicas of a French harpsichord, a 1780s German grand fortepiano, and a 1795 "Mozart" Viennese grand pianos.
The Kennebec Early Music Festival is supported by grants from the Maine Arts Commission, the Edgard and Geraldine Feder Foundation, and the Davenport Family Trust, with major sponsorships from Bath Savings Trust Company and William Raveis/Carleton Real Estate.
