Key Cast: Phoebe Ryan, Jake Etheridge, Holly Twyford

A week in the life of a talented but aimless singer, besieged by a failed relationship and struggling to make peace with her past. Desperate to prove that she isnt a failure, she revisits her musical ambitions and embarks on a new path -- albeit, not a straight one.

Director's Statement: As a filmmaker in a major city thats primary identity and commerce is not centered in the arts, I know first- hand how easy it is to overlook the incredibly talented artists that inhabit a place like Washington, DC. I wanted to make a film that wasnt on the nose about DCs under-appreciated arts culture, but one that gives a voice to young artists that feel stuck in a place that isnt ostensibly positioned to supporting their art-form; the directionless singer that doesnt know where or how to begin.

Introducing Phoebe Ryan in her breakout role as Dakota. Phoebe is an American actress, singer, and songwriter. As a musical artist, Phoebe has released multiple EPs that have received critical acclaim as well as toured the world with her musical act. As a songwriter, Phoebe has written for artists such as Britney Spears, Oh Honey, Zara Larsson, Melanie Martinez, and Bea Miller, and is featured on songs by The Knocks, Tritonal, Skizzy Mars, and The Chainsmokers among others.
