The Monday Club of San Luis Obispo, January 5, 2015, General Meeting

The Business portion of the general meeting will commence at 11:00 a.m., followed by Luncheon at 12:00 p.m. and the Program at 12:45 p.m.

Ms. Trompeter grew up on the central coast of California. She lived in the Monterey Bay area through high school and in San Luis Obispo while attending Cal Poly. She spent her first few years in the broadcasting business in SLO, working for a local radio station and KSBY-TV (NBC).

She moved to the midwest for a position at KCCI-TV (CBS) in Des Moines, Iowa. There she covered everything from tornados to the state fair and the presidential caucuses. In March 2005, she ventured north to the Twin Cities to take a job at WCCO-TV. Jeanette has been honored with awards from the Associated Press and the Iowa and Minnesota Broadcasting Associations. She has received regional Emmy awards for her reporting and anchoring as well as two regional Edward R Murrow awards for her reporting. She left Minneapolis and took a job at KSBY-TV in 2010, and in doing so, moved back home. Jeanette anchors the evening and late night newscasts, and does a weekly segment called "Out And About" where she profiles all the treasures to be found on the Central Coast.

Luncheon cost is $17 and only members with reservations or their confirmed guests may purchase tickets. You MUST have confirmed your reservation the Monday prior in order to attend this event.
