How Do I Live Forever? Results to Headlines in Aging Research
Dr. Hannah Chapin of the University of Washington will lead an exciting new workshop at HiveBio. Hannah will discuss aging research and teach HiveBio students how to access and read primary scientific literature relating to the headlines seen in newspapers and popular science articles. Students will also learn what goes into getting a newspaper headline from a scientist's perspective. Model systems such as the worm and the mouse for aging research will be discussed and students will get hands on experience in aging research working with C. elegans the worm model organism. Come join us for a fun and interesting afternoon and learn how to be an aging scientist!

This class is appropriate for all ages. Children under 18 must have a parent.
