What Is Enlightenment Magazine Salon - A Song That Goes On Singing
These popular discussions are forums for high-level inquiry and focused exploration of the topics covered in WIE's articles and interviews. They provide an opportunity to come together with others and engage directly with the cutting-edge ideas and philosophical, spiritual, and global perspectives featured in WIE. Salons are offered in many cities across the United States and around the world, and some are facilitated by discussion leaders.

The topic of this month's discussion will be "A Song That Goes On Singing: An Interview with Dr. Beatrice Bruteau" from the current 15 Year Anniversary issue of WIE. A contemporary renaissance woman - scientist, philosopher, and Christian contemplative - Bruteau evokes the creative impulse behind the evolutionary design of the universe, drawing on her depth of knowledge and experience to paint a pioneering vision of what the next step in human evolution could be. "We cannot wait for the world to turn, for the times to change that we may change with them, for the revolution to come and carry us round in its new course. No more will the evolutionary forces of nature propel us in their groping way through the next critical point into a new state of Being. From now on, if we are to have any future, we must create that future ourselves. We ourselves are the future and we are the revolution."

"Calling to our attention both the thrill of eternal creation and the demand of ultimate responsibility, the view from this cosmic perspective is breathtaking, simultaneously transforming and fulfilling our deepest sense of what it could mean to be human."
