Holocaust and Human Rights Center Annual Meeting
The Holocaust and Human Rights Center (HHRC) and the Bates College Library will present the first Gerda Haas Award for Excellence in Human Rights Education and Leadership at the HHRC's annual meeting to be held on Sunday, June 1st , from 12:00 2:00 PM at main dining room of Bates College in Lewiston, ME.
In addition to a luncheon, the event will include the presentation of the HHRC's annual Spiegel Scholarship Awards and an overview of the busy year at the HHRC, including programs, exhibits and special events. The event also presents an opportunity to recognize Gerda Haas, Auburn's own Jutka and Irving Isaacson, and HHRC former Executive Director Sharon Nichols for their work on behalf of the people of Maine in the areas of Holocaust and human rights awareness.
