THE IMPROVISED SHAKESPEARE COMPANY
Created and directed by Blaine Swen

Based on one audience suggestion (a title for a play that has yet to be written) The Improvised Shakespeare Company creates a fully improvised play in Elizabethan style. Nothing is planned-out, rehearsed, or written. Each play is completely improvised, so each play is entirely new!

The Improvised Shakespeare Company has been performing its critically-acclaimed show every Friday night at the world famous iO Theater for over five years and continues to entertain audiences around the globe with its touring company. The ISC has been featured at The Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival, the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, and most recently they blew crowds away at the BONNAROO Festival in Tennessee. It has been named Chicago's best improv group by both the Chicago Reader and the Chicago Examiner and has received a New York Nightlife Award for "Best Comedic Performance by a Group". The ISC has also been honored by the Chicago Improv Foundation as its "Ensemble of the Year".

The Improvised Shakespeare Company returns to THEATRE 80 in New York City for 5 shows only May 11-13th, 2014. Their New York appearances always sell out so get your tickets now!
