Christmas isnt awful if you find the right person to spend it with.

A Beautiful Christmas Love Story as only the dark minds of Dream Theatre can present it. Loneliness, disappointment, prescription drugs and lots and lots of eggnog. Two miserable people, who are always alone on Christmas, somehow find one another and fall in love.

Cold is directed by Jeremy Menekseoglu and Anna Weiler and features Courtney Arnett and Jeremy Menekseoglu

Design by Anna Weiler.

Since leaving Moscow in 2003, Dream Theatre Company has brought Chicago Audience a truly unique theatrical experience. Performing all original productions that include: Sequestered, Cold, The Samaritan Syndrome, Baby Killers, SlowAnna; Anna in the Darkness, Medea, Antigone; Ismene and Sister 121; Dream Theatre delivers high art in its most raw, unflinching and entertaining form.

With each production, Dream Theatres unique style develops further. Projects become bolder, experimental forms are tested and the barrier between actor and audience shatters. No member of the Audience will ever feel as a mere spectator, but will be at the very center of the experience. Terror and love become real, possibilities are endless, dreams and nightmares mingle, hope exists honestly, nothing is out-of-bounds and the fourth wall does not ever exist.

Kerry Reid called their 2008 production of MEDEA remarkable The nihilism and narcissism of the grown-ups comes through with chilling intensity. Randy Hardwick from said about MEDEA, Menekseoglus skill at balancing the cerebral and classic with the duty to entertain is singular and this show will do nothing but further his growing reputation. and ISMENE as high art brilliantly written (and) as good as it gets. It is the best show in this category that I have seen thus far this season. Tom Williams said that the play THE SAMARITAN SYNDROME delivers a fresh, surreal look at altruistic compulsions many folks are addicted with Sensual theatre Fabrizio O. Almeida said that the play BABY KILLERS was A performance style rarely seen on the American stage (and) rarely executed as well as it has been done here... This inchoate blend of science fiction, melodrama, expressionism and the macabre lingers in the imagination like a strange dream..." And ...given Chicago's plethora of offerings on any given night, you're unlikely to see anything like this anywhere else."
