Transcendental Passage
Transcendental Passage. Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time. Paul Surapine, clarinet, Thomas Hojnacki, piano, Angel Valchinov, violin and Johann Soults, cello, perform The Quartet for the End of Time, written by Oliver Messiaen during his internment in a Nazi prison camp in 1940. The evening will include a world premiere of a new work for the quartet by Hojnacki.
