Wit and romance play out against the backdrop of the Forest of Arden in one of Shakespeares most loved comedies. When Rosalind is banished by her usurping uncle, Duke Frederick, she makes her escape to the Forest with her cousin Celia to search for her exiled father, and disguises herself as a young shepherd named Ganymede. In the forest Rosalind encounters the love of her life, Orlando, who has fallen woefully in love with Rosalind. In order to cure Orlando of his love for Rosalind, he agrees to come back and woo the young Ganymede in her stead. With a cast of unforgettable characters including the melancholy Jaques, the fool Touchstone, the banished Duke and his exiled court, and other inhabitants of the forest, As You Like it explores life and love in many forms. Will love conquer all, or is it merely a madness?
