International Women's Day with Marlene Lowden: artist talk and blind contour drawing
In celebration of International Women's Day, join exhibiting artist Marlene Lowden for an artist talk about her exhibition Blind Contour Homage Series, then try your hand at blind contour drawing. Lowdens exhibition celebrates Canadian female artists, many of whom are significantly under-recognized in the Canadian art canon. Lowden has studied artists from several regions, each with diverse cultural heritages, and she will share some of their fascinating stories, explain her artistic process and invite attendees to try some blind contour drawing exercises.
