Macbeth at RPAC
A Tale Full of Sound and Fury... Through the prophecy of the Three Witches, Macbeth learns that one day he will rule as King of Scotland. Spurred by ambition for power and at the urging of Lady Macbeth, the once brave general chooses a murderous path to take the throne from King Duncan. After seizing power, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, wracked with guilt by their evil deeds, begin the descent into madness. The play, considered one of Shakespeares darkest, most powerful works, dramatizes the corruptive psychological and political effects, when the desire for power becomes malevolent. An ROH Production. Contemporary Impressions.
