Workshop 19 - LIZ CARROLL - Upper Hall
In this advanced class you will learn a couple of tunes by ear, and concentrate on the use of variations and bowing techniques in order to make a tune ones own.
Internationally acclaimed fiddler and composer, and South Side native of Chicago, Liz Carroll is one of Irish musics brightest stars despite the geographical disconnect from her native roots. Her talent and dedication to her craft have earned her a National Heritage Fellowship, a Grammy nomination, and the Gradam Ceoil TG4 Composer of the Year Award, honouring her contributions to the immensely rich repertoire of already existing traditional Irish music.
