Written in 1922, this brilliant, seldom done modern play of nearly 100 years ago is a story of the past and the present. A sensitive young woman is used and abused by young and older men alike. She finds a home with an old novelist where she can thrash out her lifes conflicts, which still plague her. She hopes and dreams of being a character in the novelists new book. In the end she finally takes control of her own life.
