2013 FREE Round trip aboard the Beacon
Join distinguished Stevens Institute Research Scientist Philip Orton aboard the elegant Beacon, a 1920s-style water taxi, for an eye-opening discussion of the effects of climate change, sea level rise, and Superstorm Sandy on New York City. With 20 years of marine science research under his belt, Dr. Orton's program will shed light on these critical issues.
This is a 60-minute, round-trip tour leaving from Slip D64 in Liberty State Park.
Plan to arrive at Liberty State Park at least 45 minutes before your tour. You will pick up tickets at the ticketing table, located by Liberty Landing Marina. Present your ID or a print out of your reservation confirmation to receive your tickets.
Please arrive at the ticketing table at least 30 minutes before the tour to pick up your tickets.
Tickets not claimed 15 minutes before the tour may be given to those in the standby line.
