I'm Spiritual And All I Have to Show For It Is This Award
Christopher Daniels, voted Reno's Number One Minister/Spiritual Advisor, shares in his new one-man show, his journey to find what it means to be spiritual in the 21st century. Full of irreverent humor, engaging storytelling, and heart-felt anecdotes, Daniels relates his experiences attending Shamanic Hogwarts, why Bible stories read like an episode of Game of Thrones, and five lessons to leading a harmonious life.

Performances are March 1st and 2nd at 7:30pm. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

Christopher Daniels received his BA from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2008 majoring in Psychology, Women's Studies, and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) studies. His first foray into the world of theatre occurred in Madison where he began performing drag under the stage name Miss Ginger Devine. Passionately combining his academic studies in gender studies and appreciation for the art of drag, Daniels began performing regularly in Madison, Chicago, and even abroad in The Netherlands. In 2008, with fellow drag queen Davina Deville, he established The Ginger Devils a monthly variety show featuring sketches, videos, stand up, and live performances. In 2009, Daniels moved to Reno to pursue acting and theatre.  He became a principal player in Renos number one comedy troupe, The Utility Players, and performed in monthly, then eventually weekly, shows. While there, Daniels discovered his love for writing, specifically writing murder mysteries. To date, he has penned 11 murder mysteries that have been performed regularly all over Northern Nevada. In 2014, he received an artist's grant from Sierra Arts to develop his one-man show, "UNDRESSED: A One Weave Show detailing Ginger Devines retirement and Daniels journey to find acceptance. In 2015, Daniels served as the Playwright in Residence at Good Luck Macbeth Theatre Co. and just days after the legalization of gay marriage, he premiered his first full-length play. Last Call at the Old Southwest chronicling the history of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender movement told through the lens of the patrons of a dive gay bar. In 2016, he received a Forte Award for "Best Comedic Performance" for his work in "Buyer & Cellar", and most recently earned the accolade of "Best Minister/Spiritual Advisor" from the Reno News and Review. He currently serves as the Managing Director for Good Luck Macbeth Theatre Company and co-creator of Alchemist Movement, a monthly show combining music, meditation, and poignant sermons into one powerful evening. When Daniels is not performing on stage, he is often in the classroom, serving as an integration specialist with Sierra Arts Foundation, performance coach for the Young Chautauqua program, or teaching assistant in Good Luck Macbeths new program, Theatrical Arts for the Exceptional Student. Daniels believes that art has the power to change the very nature of our society. An artists vulnerability is the key to allow others to express themselves more fully and authentically.
