The workshop will begin with a short interactive presentation and tour of our farm. Along the tour we will look for areas that fit under the categories of S.T.E.A.M. (Science/Technology/Engineering/Art/Math). The middle of the presentation will be a variety of hands on activities for young children, and a different set of activities for older children/adults. The end of the workshop will be a discussion of trials and achievements we have encountered in our five years from buying to running a small farm. By the end of our time together we hope you will see farming not just as a single activity; but as a combination of science, technology, engineering, art, math, and hard work. |
Children (ages 4 and over) are welcome with a ticketed adult and their own ticket (for the child). Designed for ages 4 to 18.
A free copy of Renewing the Countryside: WISCONSIN will be given away to every family, couple and/or household registered for a particular workshop (a $26.95 value); the free book giveaway is limited to one copy per residential address of attendees.
