Learn the ins and outs of making your own delicious cracker, both ssavory or sweet, with emphasis on local, organic ingredients. Make & eat crackers, get recipes, & take crackers home. Its easier than you think, says LindaDee, long time owner of Sunporch Cafe, Madison (1983-2003). Great healthy alternative to cookies. Also a value-added item for farm stands or home bakery sales, especially if you have cheeses, sausages, spreads, jams, relishes, dips, or beverages that are begging for a crunchy partner.
Teenagers (ages 13 and above) are welcome with a ticketed adult and their own ticket (for the teenager).
A free copy of Renewing the Countryside: WISCONSIN will be given away to every family, couple and/or household registered for a particular workshop (a $26.95 value); the free book giveaway is limited to one copy per residential address of attendees.
About Bluffwood Landing:
Perched on a woodsy bluff, this 15 acre wool farm is home to endangered Jacob, Tunis and CVM/Romeldale sheep. Pelts, fleeces, roving, yarn & livestock are for sale. When not tending sheep, spinning wool, or teaching craft classes, you will find LindaDee singing in her riotious veggie, herb, fruit, and flower garden. Bio-diversity is key to this organically inspired farmstead where sheep mow lawn, pollinators flourish, hobbits lurk and miracles happen.
CANCELLATION POLICY: NO REFUNDS. SOIL SISTERS has a no refund policy. You can, however, transfer your ticket to another person, provided that person is in possession of the ticket at the time of the workshop.
