Politics and Prose Presents KATE ATKINSON
Novels by Kate Atkinson are beloved by readers across nations and genres. She has won three Costa Novel Awards and Book of the Year nominations from indie bookstore associations on both sides of the Atlantic, and her hit detective series starring Jackson Brodie was adapted into the hit BBC series Case Histories. In her newest novel, Transcription, she returns to the World War II terrain she explored in the companion novels Life after Life and A God in Ruins. This time her hero is the reluctant spy Juliet Armstrong, recruited into MI5 to spy on British Fascists. Ten years after the war, Juliet finds herself confronted with figures from her pastand a whole new battle to fight. Atkinson will be in conversation with award-winning journalist Madhulika Sikka.
