Bob is an aspiring writer whose fear of failure has become artistically and emotionally paralyzing. Susan, his frustrated wife, needs to see that Bob can commit to something anything. As their marriage reaches a crisis point, Pretending explores the corrosive nature of fear and self-loathing.
