Discover medicinal & culinary herbs, wild & tame with LindaDee, enthusiastic elder who grew up foraging nettles, dandelions & burdock roots. In nature, herbs are not banished to a little confined patch. They are everywhere, so discover this free pharmacy and cooking cornucopia at your fingertips. LindaDee has taught at the Midwest Womens Herbal Conference & studied with herbalist author, Susun Weed. After the farm walk, your hostess with the mostest, a former restauranteur, will share herbal tea and treats.
Teenagers (ages 13 and over) welcome with ticketed adult and own paid ticket (for the teenager).
A free copy of Renewing the Countryside: WISCONSIN will be given away to every family, couple and/or household registered for a particular workshop (a $26.95 value); the free book giveaway is limited to one copy per residential address of attendees.
About Bluffwood Landing:
Perched on a woodsy bluff, this 15 acre wool farm is home to endangered Jacob, Tunis and CVM/Romeldale sheep. Pelts, fleeces, roving, yarn & livestock are for sale. When not tending sheep, spinning wool, or teaching craft classes, you will find LindaDee singing in her riotious veggie, herb, fruit, and flower garden. Bio-diversity is key to this organically inspired farmstead where sheep mow lawn, pollinators flourish, hobbits lurk and miracles happen.
CANCELLATION POLICY: NO REFUNDS. SOIL SISTERS has a no refund policy. You can, however, transfer your ticket to another person, provided that person is in possession of the ticket at the time of the workshop.
