Making Herbal Healing Remedies with Local Plants with Laura Shiels
In this hands-on workshop you will learn about plant medicine growing around you, both wild and that which you can cultivate. You will explore intuitive, energetic, ecological and biochemical aspects of making your own plant medicine through a combination of lecture, demonstrations, hands-on skill development, and discussion. You will cultivate an awareness of ecological cues about action and potency of medicinal plants and learn skills for detecting and increasing the medicinal potential of your herb garden while you learn how to make some healing plant remedies for internal and external applications.
Participants will be instructed on what materials to bring for class and will go home with sample remedies which they have made in class.
The workshop is limited to sixteen (16) participants.
