FREMONT - Robinson Crusoe
Struggle with the English castaway Robinson Crusoe, the sole survivor of a shipwreck, in Daniel Defoe's classic adventure story. The resourceful Crusoe attempts to survive alone on what he believes to be a deserted island - at least until he meets the cheerful and helpful native he names "Friday". This famous novel inspired many future castaway stories, including The Swiss Family Robinson. Recommended for grades 3 and up.
