MASTER CLASS at the Riggi Theater, National Museum of Dance in Saratoga
Responding to popular demand, The Creative Place International (CPI) will present MASTER CLASS once again with an array of area talent bringing Playwright Terrence McNallys powerful drama to life November 18-20, 2016 on the Riggi Theater stage at the National Museum of Dance, 99 South Broadway in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Local Broadway veteran Anny DeGange portrays the opera diva MARIA CALLAS, a glamorous, larger-than-life, caustic, and surprisingly drop-dead funny pedagogue is holding a voice master class at the Julliard School. Alternately dismayed and impressed by the students who parade before her, she retreats into recollections about the glories of her own life and career, Included in her musings on her younger years as an ugly duckling, her fierce hatred of her rivals, the unforgiving press that savaged her early performances, her triumphs at La Scala and her affair with Aristotle Onassis.

CPIs MASTER CLASS is directed by Tony Award Winner Ron Holgate, Ms. DeGanges husband. They are joined by their daughter, Chloe Holgate, and a cast of accomplished area performers including actress Eleah Jayne Peal and pianist Mark Evans.

Anny DeGange began her career as a dance with the Martha Graham Company and moved on to sing and dance her way through five shows on Broadway and roles in opera companies and concert tours in Europe. She has created roles for several CPI productions, including Pinocchio and Other Peoples Money.

Ron Holgate, who directed CPIs production of The Sound of Murder, performed roles in over 30 operas, ten Broadway shows and starred in many national tours.

Chloe Holgate is a 2014 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, an active soloist, actor and choral singer living on New York City. A founding member of the vocal quintet Ping, Chloe is a passionate performer of early and new music.
