Broadway Sings - A Tribute to Michael Kenwood, Princeton's Fallen Hero
The Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad, in collaboration with Broadway Sings, is hosting this tribute concert to celebrate the life and legacy of Michael Kenwood, the volunteer EMT who died in the line of duty while performing a water rescue in Princeton Township during Hurricane Irene. EMT Kenwood, 39, left behind a wife and two-year-old daughter. An attorney and computer specialist, EMT Kenwood was a major source of financial support for his family.
Broadway Sings is a professional concert production company featuring stars of the Broadway and National Companies of hit Broadway shows.
Broadway Sings was founded in 2003 by two Broadway veteran performers: Executive Producers Lisa Capps and Charles Bergell met while both were starring in the US National Tour of Les Miserables. They each subsequently went on to star in Les Miserable on Broadway. Between them, they have performing credits in Les Miz, Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, and the Who's Tommy.
Together they have called upon their large network of contacts in the Broadway theatre world - including actors, directors, choreographers, musicians and designers - to create exceptional live entertainment experiences for corporate and private events around the world.
Broadway Sings works with a rotating creative team of active Broadway professionals including Broadway directors, music directors and choreographers, and designers to create an event with a true Broadway pedigree. Find out more at www.broadwaysings.com
This event features stars of Broadway musicals and National Touring productions, many of whom are donating their talents to provide an evening of exciting music in tribute to EMT Kenwood.
Proceeds from the concert, and a silent auction preceding the concert, will be split between EMT Kenwood's survivors and the Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad, a non-profit volunteer organization that provides emergency medical and technical rescue services to the residents of Princeton Township, Princeton Borough, and Princeton University.
We hope you will join us for this incredible evening.
