Las Canarias: Nightbell presents a night in the Canary Islands

The Canary Islands have an exotic and unique culture. From snowy volcanic peaks to warm, sandy beaches and lush national parks, there is something for everyone.

Nightbell is celebrating the most tropical wine region in Europe with a special wine dinner July 13. Join us on a delicious voyage, tasting select wines and learning with us. Chef Katie Button is pairing her creative cuisine with wines from this extraordinary Spanish region.

Bethany Kacich from David Bowler Wine will be at the event to present and describe each wine. Bethany comes to David Bowler Wine with a lifelong love for eating, languages, writing, and travel. She holds a BA in Romance Languages and an MA in French Studies from NYU. In May of 2013, Bethany began to build David Bowler Wines national import business. This work has twice brought her to the Canary Islands, where she has been seduced by the regions striking otherworldly landscapes, supernaturally old vines and overwhelmingly generous hospitality of the winemakers. It is a joy to share the wines of this lesser-known region with likeminded distributors, and we are fortunate to have her present these wines to our guests!

Josh Spurling, wine expert and owner of local wine shop Table Wine will be in attendance to learn with us and offer the wines for purchase. Ryan Brazell will serve as an ambassador for Proof Wine & Spirits, and we are grateful to them for bringing these wines to Asheville.
