Braiding Wisdom Series: Learning to Draw/Understanding the Connection Between Seeing & Drawing
The mystery of drawing is solved by learning to identify the basic elements of shape and practicing the connection between eye and hand.
The group will follow steps together, to hear and see the process of decoding an image in order to draw it realistically. Understanding the process results in greater confidence in drawing. Confidence is the first step toward mastering this most basic form of visual language.
Kristin Sobol is an illustrator and teacher who has taught drawing to all ages of students for the past 20 years. Currently, she is an art teacher at the Preschool of the Arts, working with children ages 2-5.
