Dream Child: The Trial of Alice in Wonderland
Roxanne Fay (2015's "Home Fires Burning") brings a brand-new work to Bridge Street Theatre direct from the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, FL for it's New York premiere. In "Dream Child," a grown up Alice Liddell, Lewis Carroll's inspiration for "Alice in Wonderland," is coming to America to give a speech for the centenary of Carroll's birth. But on the way she is haunted by the weird and frightening characters of Wonderland, demanding to know why she has abandoned them. Is she merely entertaining old memories? Is she seeking absolution for the past? Is there still a chance for her to re-enter Wonderland one last time?
