Lammas Celebration
Bluffwood Landing
Monticello, WI
Share this event:

Hear yea! Hear yea! Come celebrate Lammas, the Celtic holiday of Harvest, with Lady Linda Dee. Be inspired to create your own wild "Lammas good luck dolly" to take home. Join in the ancient clooti ritual. Be dazzled by Linda Dee's culinary skills-Lammas Loaves from whole wheat to corn to zucchini & more (recipes included). Festivities will be peppered with Linda's elderly storehouse of knowledge (over 6 decades) growing healthy food. Stroll through her pollinator friendly, nutrient rich, productive garden and visit her unique heritage sheep. This celebratory workshop begins with you!  Children of all ages are welcome with a ticketed adult and their own ticket (for the child).

A free copy of Renewing the Countryside: WISCONSIN will be given away to every family, couple and/or household registered for a particular workshop (a $26.95 value); the free book giveaway is limited to one copy per residential address of attendees.

About Instructor Linda Dee:

Born into farming, got a UW Home Economics Teaching degree, then sidetracked by a call to business in Madison: Linda's Lakeside Market, followed by Sunporch Cafe, for 20 years. Segued into rural B & B ownership, then evolved to full time farming. Downsized in 2014 from 150 acre Hillspring Eco-Farm near Blanchardville to 15 acre Bluffwood Landing in Monticello. Still loving it at 68. No regrets.  Every stage of life is wonderful!

About Bluffwood Landing:

"Eye candy" everywhere on this small bio-dynamically inspired organic farm. Perched atop a woodsy bluff, Linda Dee tends a hand spinners heritage flock of sheep, including the distinctive black and white spotted Jacobs, guarded by llamas. The farm retail shop includes pelts, yarn, roving & raw fleece. When not tending sheep or spinning wool, you will find Linda Dee somewhere in her spectacular veggie, fruit, herb, & flower garden where she raises most of her food, with extra for visitors-including those who fly about and live deep in the soil. Every season is gardening season on this farm and there have been Hobbit sitings!

CANCELLATION POLICY: NO REFUNDS.  SOIL SISTERS has a no refund policy. You can, however, transfer your ticket to another person, provided that person is in possession of the ticket at the time of the workshop.
