RENT movie sing along and karaoke party
Can't make it to Broadway for RENT's return on July 14? Come "Measure your life in love" at a "RENT" movie sing along, and musical theater karaoke party in North Park San Diego. SDWC's 3rd Pride Sing Along celebrates life,love and the creative spirit. The film is based on the classic rock opera "RENT" - the story of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS.
The event will feature a fully interactive presentation of the film version of the beloved Broadway musical, RENT (which will reopen on Broadway the same night). Join the women of SDWC as they sing along to favorites like "Seasons of Love," "I'll Cover You," "Take Me or Leave Me," and of course, the Bohemian-lifestyle anthem"La Vie Boheme." In addition to singing and dancing in your seats, you'll be sure to enjoy the opportunity drawings and door prizes.
The sing-along portion of the evening is open to all ages (film is rated PG-13); however, the karaoke party from 9:30pm-midnight will be a 21-and-over event as this part of the evening will be enhanced with WINE AND BEER!
Tickets will be $20 at the door, so get yours in advance!
