An evening of sparkling love songs with Susan Derry
Don't miss Susan's sparkling cabaret debut as she sings about life, love and the pursuit of happiness among the high notes.
Susan debuted on Broadway in the Tony-winning revival of Wonderful Town and played the role of Christine in The Phantom of the Opera in Hamburg, Germany. DC-area appearances include Ragtime, Mame, the gala performances of Camelot and My Fair lady, and Leonard Bernstein's Mass with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra conducted by Marin Alsop, all for the Kennedy Center; for the Signature Theatre, Susan played Betty Shaeffer inSunset Boulevard, Helen in Sondheim's Saturday Night and performed at the 2014 Sondheim Gala. Other roles include Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Desdemona in Othello, Gwendolen in The Importance of Being Earnest, Agnes in I Do! I Do!, Fiona in Brigadoon, Betty Haynes in White Christmas, Susan in Company, Luisa inThe Fantasticks, and Maria in West Side Story, among others. Susan headlined as a guest soloist at Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops, and appeared in the Encores! Series at New York City Center eleven times. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern University and a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music and has taught privately in New York and DC for 15 years; she is an adjunct professor of voice at American University. susanderry.com
