Breakneck Hamlet
A Brief Note from the Adapter, Editor, Explainer, and Performer of Breakneck Hamlet, Tim Mooney:
Hamlet, generally considered to be Shakespeare's greatest play (if not the greatest play of all time), also happens to be his longest, checking in at 4042 lines, over 200 lines longer than the closest ("Coriolanus") and more than double the length than the 1786 lines of the shortest ("Comedy of Errors").....
......With this one-man "Hamlet," I have "recklessly sliced" Hamlet's 32,000+ words down to about 9,000, hoping to capture Hamlet as he appears to me: a thrilling chameleon, with an immense intellectual capacity, and a hilarious, wicked sense of humor. He was NOT a man who, famously "could not make up his mind!"
