Tunisia, Egypt & Beyond: Protests, Politics, Change
Following the ouster of the Tunisian president in the face of massive protests, similar uprisings in Egypt continue to demand the removal of Hosni Mubarak in a tense standoff that evolves by the day. This forum, featuring Tunisian author and artist Rajaa Gharbi, who lives in Seattle and Tunis, and members of the academic community, addresses the political events and changes in those countries and others in the region. Presented by the Town Hall Center for Civic Life, with Elliott Bay Book Company. Series media sponsorship provided by PubliCola. Series supported by The Boeing Company Charitable Trust and the RealNetworks Foundation.
